| Hobbies : Writing Another way to get creative inspiration is by listening to your favourite music. Put on a piece of music that puts you in the mood you'd like for your book - for instance something emotional and sad if you are going to be writing something heart wrenching, or uplifting and upbeat if you're going in the other direction. Brainstorm ideas with the music on - you'll find it's a simple but really helpful tool.
