How To Become A Professional Photographer

Hobbies : Photography

If you want to become a professional photographer, you need to save up for a decent camera. Make sure you put aside some money each week and do not dip into this for anything else. Eventually you will have enough to buy one!

Going on a photography course will definitely benefit you, so have a look a local colleges and see what they offer. You can also ask friends to pose as models so you can practise, or even ask local venues if you can take photos at their gigs for example. Read up online, or buying photography books may also help with extra tips.

Get together a portfolio of all your work, and also put your best shots up onto a website, or Flickr page. Dont forget to copyright/watermark them! Hopefully people will notice you and ask you to do some work for them. You could contact any local models or bands to see if they need any photoshoots, or ask other photography companies if they need more people on board. Sometimes magazines are also looking for photographers so have a look around and dont be afraid to contact people and show them samples of your work.
