Bidding On EBay
| Money : EBay If you have ever bid on eBay, it can be confusing as you place your bid, then the price goes up automatically. That's because on eBay you set the maximum price you are willing to pay for an item - and the software will bid up automatically to that price. There are also set increments depending on the price of the item. For low value items, the increment is 5p (under a ?1) whilst it goes up to amounts of ?100 when the item is worth serious cash - e.g. over ?3000.
