Therefore it can be helpful to bring a friend. Not just for the social element, but also you could take it in turns to scan the horizons. Two pairs of eyes are better than one, and if you are looking at one point through the binoculars you will not have the field of vision to see what is going on outside the confines of your lenses. If you can get someone else interested in the hobby then you can feed off each other, and add the fun social element to your fascinating hobby.
