How To Bowl A Bouncer
Sport : Cricket On certain wickets, the bouncer can be a great wicket taking ball - though of course also dangerous to the batsman. In many leagues it is not allowed, however if you are allowed to legally bowl them in your league, then it can be a great delivery to get the batsman out usually hooking or pulling on the boundary, or perhaps mis-timing and hitting straight up into the air. To bowl this ball, pull your delivery arm down much quicker than normal - with the net result of the ball pitching a lot closer to you on the wicket - and therefore bouncing up more. The more downwards force you get, the more bounce and pace and the harder it is to play. A good bouncer requires a lot of practice and effort to get a consistent length, and also to get it straight.
