How To Bowl A Yorker
Sport : Cricket A yorker is one of the most effective balls in cricket to either take a wicket, or at least make it very hard to score off. For this reason, it has become really popular in one day cricket and is often used by bowlers 'at the death' to ensure that they leak as few runs as possible in the last few overs. The ball is full and straight and aimed to hit the pitch just at the batsman's feet. You need to ensure that you bowl this ball from as high as you can, and have a particularly strong action. If you can bowl it at pace then it can be a devastating delivery. Again use it sparingly to get the element of surprise, and also practice hard on getting it as straight as possible for the maximum impact - a wide yorker will not be a wicket taking delivery.
