If space is limited, consider getting a flat screen monitor - the prices are much cheaper now and they are much lighter and more portable. Consider getting a 15 inch monitor as the minimum size, anything else can strain your eyes. It is always worth paying slightly more for a quality monitor as your eyes are such a precious resource you do not want to risk straining them.
