Can I Vote In The General Election By Post?

Politics

There is a system called postal voting in place in the United Kingdom.

Anyone who can vote in person is able to apply for a postal vote instead.

There is an application form you can download and send to your local electoral registration office if you want to register for postal voting.

The link to the form (correct at time of writing) is:

http://www.aboutmyvote.co.uk/register_to_vote/postal_vote_application.aspx

A postal vote applies for one election (or specified time period).

Some people are worried about the security of postal votes and knowing who really makes them; however it is against the law to try to influence how someone else fills in their postal vote or indeed to vote on their behalf.
