Car Problems: Popping Sound

The most likely cause of this is related to the exhaust, and more specifically, a small hole somewhere in the exhaust system from the engine. You should therefore take it to the garage immediately, as if gases leak from the exhaust and somehow get into the car then they can of course be dangerous to you and your health.
