The most common reason for this is that something has got embedded into the tyres of your car. Usual suspects are the likes of a loose nail on the road, or perhaps a small stone. Therefore you should pull over and examine the tyre and try to remove the offending object. Should there be any metal that has come into the tyre wall, then you should visit the garage.
