| Business : Payments If you need to chase up on a debt, then the best method is simple: make it more hassle for them NOT to pay then it is for them to pay you. Therefore start off with a phonecall every couple of days. Increase these to daily phonecalls if this does not get payment. If you have made around eight or more calls chasing up a debt and you think this is not going to make progress, then you need to move onto the next step. That is to issue the relevant legal form (see the other article in this category on this) to chase up payment or you can start insolvency proceedings. In most cases they will now pay up.
