| Pets : Dogs When you are choosing a dog, you need to be very conscious that different dogs need different amounts of exercise. Some are suited to more sedate environments, others really need to be outdoors most of the time and get plenty of sporting activity. Therefore don't just go on the look of a dog - remember the breed. As a rule for instance, dogs like spaniels, retrievers and setters will need plenty of exercise - therefore only consider these breeds if you don't mind spending a lot of time throwing a stick and playing fetch with your beloved dog!
