| Pets : Dogs You will probably find that there are several vets within reach of you. So which one do you choose? Well, the best way is to get a recommendation. If you are new to an area then ask any neighbours who have a pet which vet they tend to use. You will usually find a glowing recommendation from a couple of people for one particular practice. Also note that you can check out yourself by visiting the place and seeing what it seems like. Friendly, polite staff and a clean looking outfit suggest a good quality of vet. Finally see if you get one vet appointed to each pet so that the vet will get used to your pet, as it were, or whether they operate a floating scheme whereby you could see a different vet every time.
