Christmas Turkey: What Size?

Particularly if the number to serve is less/more than last year, you can't just rely on getting the same size turkey again! Well, on average the Christmas table will have 8 people sitting around it according to a recent survey, and for this amount of people a bird of sized 12 - 14lb will happily feed this many people. Note that you will need a large roasting tin for this - 37 x 27cm.
