How To Claim Your Tax Back
| Money : Saving Whilst most processes are automatic and reliable with banks, sometimes mistakes are made. Common problems occur when students, for instance, are charged tax when they don't need to. Sometimes they didn't fill in the right form and other times it happens by mistake. Some people don't bother challenging this however, but they should. All that you need to do is go and see a personal banker in your bank, together with a couple of bank statements to show the tax you have been paying. Then discuss why you shouldn't pay tax, for instance if you are a student, and have the relevant documentation to hand. They should be able to back calculate how much tax you have overpaid, and be able to refund it to you accordingly.
