Self Development : Stress When it comes to relaxation, clearing your mind is one of the best things you can do. Often stresses and tensions come from the inability to switch off or being aware of having a million and one things to do in your head. Therefore the best tip to destress at work is to actually free your mind of everything. Actively try not to have any thoughts. If you are thinking 'oh I'm not thinking' then you are thinking though this is very hard. You should find this quite liberating and after a few minutes you will be stress free, as there are no thoughts there to stress you. This is an interesting technique to use in general - only when we try it do we realise that whilst awake we are thinking all the time!
