How To Complain To A Bank
Money : Banking If you have received poor service from a bank, or have a complaint of any sort to make, then you should complain. You may be entitled to compensation. Tips: - first, cool down. A letter written in anger is a bad letter. - establish the facts. Write a clear list of what your grievance is before writing - base your letter around the facts, and stick to them. Never exaggerate the facts, and at the same time do not brush them under the carpet - keep the letter short and to the point. Do not use emotive language for the sake of it, or over dramatise - give the bank a couple of weeks to reply - if the reply is not acceptible, you can complain to a higher authority. If in the UK, read our article on contacting the financial ombudsman.
