Copywriting For Sales - Action Words

Hobbies : Writing

If you are writing copy for marketing and sales pages, then you should ensure that you use very positive, and active words.

Don't use any generic terms like things or stuff. Be specific, and try to encourage people to take actions.

In other words, your language should include 'calls to action'.

Therefore, for web site copy, use terms like 'Buy Now', 'Sign Up here', 'Take out a subscription' - anything that has a clear action.

You should also suggest to the designer that these terms are highlighted somehow - perhaps a large button at the top and bottom of the copy containing the key action.
