How To Create A Panorama
Hobbies : Photography One of the most popular and eye catching techniques is the panorama. Nothing else can capture an idea of wide open space or a great view like a panorama around a scene can. But how do you create one and get it right? Well, usually this requires taking multiple shots. The first thing to do is to ensure that you have a tripod, set at the best height for the whole scene. Why? Because otherwise the height at which you take each shot will vary slightly making it hard to join the images. Next, note down distinctive points on the landscape that you can use as the boundary of one photo and the start of another. This is a good tip because when you come to stitch them together, you will easily know where the join points are on the horizontal - the vertical is easy as you are using a tripod so that will all be the same. Remember you might want to add a slight overlap to each picture if you are not fully confident if the view in the viewfinder is exactly what will be captured in the boundary. Once all done, simply stitch together in your favourite software. Note that you might need to adjust colours slightly if the angle varies the colour saturation in the shot - for instance if the sun is overhead the shot to the right may come out differently to that to the left.
