How To Create Good Links For Search Engines
Computing : Search Engine Optimisation If you have used the internet for a number of years, you will be familar with the old 'click here' link. This link has been around for years and years, and is actually a very bad link. Why? Because it is totally non-descriptive. Anything could be behind the link. Rather, you should make the link descriptive as to where it goes through to - if it is a link to 'Ask a question', call it 'ask a question', not text reading 'click here'. There is an added benefit - the name of a link is taken into account with many search engines when deciding priorities for a keyword. Thus if many sites link to you with the same title, then you are likely to get good rankings for that title - even if it does not appear much in the text of your webpage!
