How To Create Quick Crossword Puzzles

Games : Puzzles

The best way to create quick crossword puzzles is to first define your grid.

A decent size for a quick crossword is between 10 x 10 and 15 x 15 grid size; they don't tend to go much beyond this and then you get the domain of the larger crossword.

Next go through and decide on the words that will complete the crossword; don't worry about clues.

As a tip try to use common letters at the intersect between clues - this makes it much easier to find words that fit and more likely that you can find words to place and don't have to backtrack.

For instance placing a 'Z' in a closed cell is fine but putting one at a crossover makes it much less likely you will be able to place a clue in the crossover run.

Once you have placed all the words, set your brain thinking of synonyms or use a synonym dictionary.

Or if you want to buy quick crossword puzzles, then you can get others do the work for you so you don't have to!
