How To Deal With A Loss Adjuster

Business : Insurance

A loss adjuster is someone appointed by the insurer to adjust the cost of the claim - usually in the downward direction of course, given who they are appointed by.

Therefore as a rule be wary of them being impartial and being 'on your side' as well - they are more often or not tasked with getting the claim down as much as they possibly can!

Therefore act confident around them of your figures and don't ask them for advice as they will try and talk you down to claiming less.

Be open and honest and only tell the truth, but don't volunteer too much information - make them ask you what they need to know!
