How To Deal With An Annoying Brother

Relationships : Family

Family are there to try us, or so it seems at times, particularly when growing up!

A friend of mine has a younger brother who is rude to all her friends when they come over, meaning that it is really hard for her to bring anyone over at all.

So what can you do to deal with such a situation with awkward teenagers?

One simple option is to ensure that your door at home has a lock, so you can both go there in your own sanctuary and keep pesky brother or other trouble makers at bay!

Alternatively it may be worth getting your parents involved to have a word, if it is likely that he will listen.

Otherwise have a quiet chat with him and try and get some sympathy from him and make him feel guilty about ruining things for you. It is probably just attention seeking or those annoying hormones that all have teenagers have flowing from him trying to make your life miserable, but it's still no fun.

At least you can take solace in the fact that it is almost certainly just a phase that he is going through and he will grow out of it eventually - if you can last that long without going mad! And finally you are not alone - apart from only children, everyone goes through dealing with annoying brothers (or indeed sisters) at one time or another!
