How To Deal With Difficult People
| Business : Running Your Business Difficult people are a fact of life, and the fact is that they make our business, hopefully temporarily, difficult! To deal with difficult people the first thing you need is to be in control of your own emotions. If you can do this then overall you will always be in a power situation as difficult people are often not in control of theirs. You should aim to treat them in the same manner as you do a normal customer with no special treatment just to get rid of them. Clearly outlining their expectations up front can help and if they become a problem at a distance bring them face to face with you where it will be harder for them to kick up a fuss continually. Overall be fair, even handed and pleasant in your dealings with them and the situation should soon resolve itself.
