How To Deal With Excess Salt

Everyone makes little mistakes in the kitchen from time to time. The problem is that a little mistake can ruin a dish - for instance if you miscalculate the amount of an ingredient!

One common problem is over seasoning, but only realising once the flavour has really taken over.

However, there are things that you can do to repair such a dish, particularly if something like a casserole if over salted.

If you over season a casserole or soup drop in pieces of potato which will absorb excess salt - a great and simple and effective tip.
