Shyness has often been considered a certain sex appeal. Especially when those eyes are courting from the other side of the room.
But then when you get up close, or try to get personal, the wild flower runs away.

Stop laughing. There is nothing funny about shyness. These people have problems remembering names, or faces, or even making simple decisions in front of people.

They become so fearful of communication, that they become a prisoner of their own securities.

Some experts point a finger at parents for this. They only show affection to their children, when their performing, rather than giving it unconditionally. Other experts point a finger at traumatizing events that occurred in childhood.
There is no doubt that a genetic factor is involved. Shyness is passed by heredity.

If you find feelings of shyness start to build, try these techniques.

Remember The Name Game.
Many people are so nervous when being introduced. Keep in mind , probably half of the people in the room, felt that at one time or another. These people really don?t listen to names. Their to focused on what their going to say next. A good habit to get into is, have the person repeat their name again. Example ( excuse me, but you said your name is Bob?) This gives you something to concentrate on, instead of worrying about yourself.

Log Your Achievements
Make a list of accomplishments. IF you have trouble with it, then sit down with a family member, or friend. Maybe they can help point out some for you. If you have to give a speech, go over it several times. Then don't look directly at the audience. Find a couple objects in the room. One on both sides. Focus on only these. Then when you feel confident enough, look at your subjects. The best medicine is to feel comfortable and at ease, just be your genuine self.
This list will prove that this genuine self, isn?t so bad.
