How To Develop All Round Athletics Abilities

Whatever event you specialise in in the athletics arena, one thing is almost certain for any event - if you have general all round abilities in several disciplines, then you are more likely to succeed.

That means therefore that you need to be flexible, whilst also strong, and quick, and also conditioned.

One of the best events that you can practice to work on all of these aspects is actually hurdling - because you need all of these attributes and in high quantities in order to be a great hurdler.

Therefore for all round training, consider doing some hurdling. It will develop aspects of your physique that may prove very useful if the event that you specialise in.
