Hip running may sound strange, but it is a good technique that you can employ to help you with your running.
All that you do is run with your legs straight, as strange as that sounds, but with alternate legs out in front of you, the equivalent perhaps of a goose step or something out of a famous monty python sketch!
The reason for this exercise is that it will help to strengthen up your hip adductor muscles and at the same time will help to ensure keep the upper part of your body straight.
