How To Do A Radio Interview

Career : Career Techniques

Sometimes you may have to do a radio or even TV interview as part of your job. If you are going to be in the media section then you will tend to get bespoke media training.

However, even if you are, then remember to bear in mind the following:

Always prepare as thoroughly as you can. That means anticipating questions in advance and writing down what you think the answer might be in advance.

If at all possible request that the segment is recorded in advance rather than live. This will take the urgency and pressure off you, as mentally you know that there will be time to edit before the version that goes out is released to the viewing or listening public!
