How To Do Science Homework Well

Education : Homework

When doing science homework, more often than not you will be writing up the results of practicals that you have done. This is true whether it is chemistry, physics or biology.

The key to remember is to be specific, factual and accurate in what you write.

Make sure that you include a brief description of all the key points.

Also make sure that you answer the task set. If you are asked to record how you set up the experiment, do so, if you are just asked for an account of the results, then stick to covering just the results.

Use facts, and precise language. Remember to use the correct vocabularly for the subject. For instance, in physics, should you use 'weight' or 'mass' to describe the ball bearing you rolled down the slope? Should you use the word 'speed' or 'momentum' to describe what happened as it rolled down the slope?

By being precise you will pick up many extra marks.
