How To Dress For A Date

Beauty : Clothes And Fashion

The clothes you wear can determine how successful a date is. They will tell the other person a lot about you, so you need to make sure you get it right. First impressions really do count!

Make sure you be yourself though. Dont dress in something you're not comfortable with, otherwise it will ruin your date. Never change your style for someone else either.

Always make sure your clothes are clean and ironed. No one wants to go out with someone who doesnt bother to make the effort, as they will think they're not important enough to you. Also you dont want to smell like a dust bin. Dont forget to put on deodorant and perfume too.

Dont overdo it though. Be relaxed and dont try too hard. Remember jeans and a nice t shirt are fine for the pub, but you will need to be a bit smarter for a nice restaurant, so opt for a skirt, dress or black jeans/trousers.

Dont wear overly tight jeans, or heels that kill your feet. You will be in a bad mood and the date is likely to go wrong. Also you wont feel comfy if you're wearing a brand new outfit you havent tried before, so do a trial a few nights before and see if its a good choice to wear for your date.

Straighten your back and relax your shoulders as this will improve your posture and make you look better.

Dont wear too many designer labels as this will make you look like a show off or desperate. Also it may attract gold diggers and people who arent after the real you.

Dont go overboard on make up. Less is more.

Never have your hair cut just before your date as stylists rarely leave it how you want it to be, so you wont have time to sort it out or adjust to it.

Keep covered and dont wear short skirts, dresses and low tops. This will attract the wrong attention and again make you look desperate.

Carry some plasters in your bag in case your new shoes start to rub. Also some clear nail varnish if your tights start to rip.
