How To Earn ?200 A Day As A Background Artist On TV

Media

It's easier than you think to be an extra! Think of the millions of TV shows these days with all those pub and street scenes, with a million extras in. They have to come from somewhere and can get great pay. Why not do it yourself to earn money, and if you impress with your work you may even progress to a small speaking part!

All you have to do to start off is register with an agency, for instance Casting Collective, on 020 8962 0099. Spotlight casting directory publish a book of Contacts that's very useful - try www.spotlightcd.com for more info.

Agencies charge around 15% on your earnings in commission.

The great thing is that it doesn't matter what you look like! Once your agency has got you work, you may find that it's easier to get repeat business if you are reliable, presentable, on time and professional during filming.

Good luck!
