EBay Spoof Emails

Money : EBay

One of the greatest dangers of an eBay account is not actually from trading on eBay, but rather from being fooled into providing your details to a scammer.

Scammers know that many people have eBay accounts, and therefore sometimes send out mass emails to people pretending to be from eBay.

Usually these ask you to verify your account details on some form. These are of course always fake, because eBay itself will never ask you for your details. The simple reason for this, of course, is that eBay already know your details!

As with any scam, always ask yourself why the company itself would be wanting information that it already knows. Since it wouldn't then that's a sure fire way to tell a scam.
