How To Encourage Children To Be Responsible
| Miscellaneous Our children are very important - they are the next generation who in time will have their own children and live by their own morals and values. Therefore we need to do all that we can to encourage them to take a moral view of life and to take responsibility and make their own decisions. Therefore when they ask if they can go out all night, for instance, then rather than put your foot down and dictate terms ask them to think about it. Ask what they think would be a reasonable compromise. By getting them to come up with the terms and thinking about it you not only encourage them to think and take responsibility but are more likely to reach an acceptable compromise. After all if they come up with the compromise rather than having it imposed on them they are much more likely to stick to it!
