How To Ensure Cat Has A Balanced Diet

For the main food, choose a well known brand. Remember that cheaper food in the pet market is usually cheaper for a reason - it is less quality. Therefore if you can afford a better quality of food, then buy it. Next ensure that the cat has dry food too. When a cat is older the food needs to be easier to digest - all those years of a very high protein diet catch up with your cat before too long! Measure the amount of canned food so that there is not an infinite amount on offer. In contrast dry food can be left out for the cat to dip into and out of as required.
More cats adviceDo be very careful when you feed dry food to a cat that they are also taking in enough water (not milk) - as their kidneys can be affected.
