Exam Technique: Question Order
Education : Exams And Revision Many people, in fact virtually all people, answer questions in order, from question one onwards in the course of an exam. However this might not be the best way. For many people it is a good idea to answer the questions that you are strongest at first. This means that you have confidence that you have marks in the bank when you come to trickier ones, and also will know exactly how much time you have to answer the trickier questions and can really focus in on them. Therefore get the high marks in the bank first before looking at trickier ones. Note that even if you have little idea you might get some clues from the question around what sort of thing to write, for instance the word 'analyse' wants you to describe and give some details about a certain piece of information. You can often pick up some marks just through common sense!
