Examples Of Common Acids

Common acids that you will need to learn when you are doing GCSE chemistry include the three below.

These are common laboratory acids which mean that it is quite likely that you will use these in the laboratory.

Nitric acid: HNO3

Hydrochloric acid: HCl

Sulphuric acid: H2SO4

Note that you can work most of these out from knowing the chemical elements that constitute these acids, and their bonding preferences
