Research has suggested - and it is no great surprise - that having a good diet and a good level of fitness can help with fertility.

This does not mean of course you need to be super fit, but rather maintain a good level of healthiness.

If you are overweight particularly as a woman than this can affect fertility. Indeed, overweightness can also make it harder to pinpoint ovulation because the monthly cycles can vary substantially due to being overweight and the levels of oestrogen that may be in excess because of this.

As a rule body fat levels that are deemed "acceptable" are 22 - 27% for women and 20 - 23% for men.
