How To Find Out More About A Seller On EBay

Money : EBay

It is important to know who you are buying from when purchasing on eBay.

Not only is this because you are buying online, so you cannot meet the person face to face, but more so because the support available when things go wrong is very limited. eBay runs a laissez faire model which works great for them always, and good for you when things go well, but if things go wrong you'll find support severely lacking.

However, eBay provides plenty of info about a seller automatically that is posted by other listers, and is the single most important element that has made eBay a successful website.

On the top right hand side of the View item page you will see a box. This is called the Seller Information Box and contains all you need to know about a seller.

It will gave their user ID with a number in brackets next to it, this is how much feedback they have received from different members.

The most important figure is the 'Positive feedback' percentage.

You should also consider reading their feedback to see what people have said.

Doing your research in this way should lead to more successful purchases and less surprises.
