How To Find Your Mail Order Rights

Money : Buying

When you place an order through the mail then depending on the country you live in there will be conditions that the seller has to fulfil to comply with the law.

For instance in several countries rules such as these apply. Be sure to check with local consumer advice agencies to find out what is the case with you.

First of all, they should always ship to you within 30 days unless specified otherwise in their literature at the time of you placing the order.

They should also let you know if they cannot meet these timescales. In that eventuality they should then give you the choice to wait or get a refund and your order cancelled.

Remember that it is a good idea to buy by credit card too as then you will receive extra rights (credit card protection rights) which is also good if the goods were defective or not described accurately.
