How To Fly Safely If Mildly Claustrophobic

Travel : Flying

If you suffer sometimes from a little claustrophobia then you may be afraid of the confined space within a plane.

However just remember that it is really quite a big space and that there is a long way that you can go - to remind yourself of this walk up and down the length of the plane and you will be surprised just how big a space it is; nothing remotely like the inside of a lift or elevator for instance.

Also to help yourself out sit somewhere where you feel the space most - that is in the aisle seat. If you are cramped in a middle seat between two other people on a full plane then you can certainly feel a little claustrophobic so help yourself out by getting the best seat for you ahead of the flight.
