Potatoes and carb givers in general seem to have had a bad press of late.

However potatoes have been a staple for a long time for good reason. As well as helping fill you up and feel satisfying, they have some good nutrients to offer you.

They are particularly good as sources of potassium, calcium and iron.

Therefore you should not cut potatoes out just through some so-called fashionable diet - they are important part of a good diet.
