Foods Which Keep Colds At Bay

Health And Fitness : Top Health Tips

Oranges contain a lot of natural Vitamin C which is a powerful antioxidant and helps build up our immune systems. Blackcurrents do have the most Vitamin C, although they do taste quite bitter so most people dont like these too much. And a kiwi is similar to the amount of Vit C an orange has. Try smoothies as well.

Garlic is also an antioxidant and builds up immune systems. There are supplements available that dont have an impact on breath, if you dont want to add some to your meal. Otherwise, try garlic bread or aioli mayo with your dinner.

Honey is also another great food, as it has a delicate balance of sugars, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and antibacterial elements which have multiple health benefits. It can coat and soothe a sore throat, and also reduce coughing.

Green tea also has immunity boosting properties, so try a cup of it in the morning.

Fresh chillies contain lots of vitamin C and provitamin A or carotene. They also help to relieve pain, and open up your nose passage ways.
