How To Format Your Press Release
Business : PR Formatting of most documents has a particular layout, but with the press release - there is no absolute rules about format and adopting one layout above another is not in itself enough to get your press release binned. However, you should ensure that you use a decent sized font, at least 12pt so it can be read easily - no point cramming everything onto a page in 9pt as is common sense. Also it is usual practice though not mandatory to double space the lines on your press release. Ensure you use a standard font, this is not the time to express your personality with an obscure font that is difficult to read, and also keep to the standard black text on white paper. Whilst you might think other combinations will stand out they are usually harder to read in terms of the contrast between the text and page, therefore it is recommended not to go down this route!
