How To Gain Control Over Your Finances
Self Development : Money Most people lack success with money management because they are no good at controlling their spend. Therefore, in order to successfully manage your money, you need to look to gain this element of control. You don't need to have a great head for maths - that's a common misconception - just put half an hour into planning your budget each week. Start off by working out how much money in income you will have during a month. Then take off from that your fixed costs - rent, heating, electricity, travel and so on. Once that's done, take off your likely costs for food and essentials - this will vary week to week but you can get a good idea of what this will be. Whatever you have left is that which you can either save or look to spend. By having this awareness over what you have to spend and the impact of over spending (going into debt) you will have taken the first step to gaining control over your finances. Congratulations!
