How To Get A Great Haircut

Beauty : Haircare

There will be times where you go for a haircut and leave disappointed - the look you got just isn't the one you were after.

Of course this could partly be due to the fact that the person cutting your hair isn't very good - but if you don't think that's the case, then here are a couple of things you need to do.

First, be very specific on your idea of the cut that you want. For instance, don't just be vague about length, style and colour if you have exact ideas.

The best way to get round this is to bring with you a picture of the closest cut to that you want.

Another thing to remember is to make it easier for the hairdresser by sitting totally upright in the chair. This will means that it is easier for them to assess your cut and the balance of it in the mirror.

Don't be afraid to comment as the cut goes along that things aren't going as you'd like. If they haven't taken enough hair off for instance, use your hands to show where you'd like them to cut to.

More hair advice

Hi guys. Can someone tell me a quick way to layer the top of my hair.
All the concoctions I've used over the years, it's still pretty thick.
Even at my age. Have so many tips to share with you guys. So I hope someone can share this one with me. It seems like you need three hands.

Thanks much!
