How To Get A Refund On Overdraft Charges
| Money : Borrowing Often when you go overdrawn for the first time, especially if it is just for a few days, then your bank will refund any charges incurred the first time that it happens. Common is something called the paid referral fee, whereby the bank pays the debt but this pushes you into the overdraft or beyond the agreed limit. This is often a charge of ?20 or ?25 so is quite significant. Normally the first time that this happens, it will be waived by the bank if you phone up and express surprise etc., But be warned, if they let you off once, they will probably put a mark on the account, so next time make sure that you have enough money in your account to cover the costs.
