How To Get Healthy Hair

Beauty : Haircare

The secret to healthy care is great nutrition. You need a balanced, nutritious diet.

Water makes up one-fourth of the weight of a strand of hair. It helps to strengthen hair and keep it hydrated. Drink regularly and dont wait until you're thirsty. This will add a silky shine to your locks.

Protein is the building block of hair and will also give the shaft of your hair more strength, and will reduce the likelihood of damage through snapping and splitting. Protein rich foods inclue fish, meat, milk, cheese and cereals, so stock up on these.

Iron helps to carry oxygen to the hair. If its lacking it, then theyre starved of oxygen and this means the goodness in the root of your hair is much less effective. Eat foods like red meat and dark green vegetables, or take iron supplements to help.

Zinc builds on hair protein which helps to prevent hair loss. Meat and seafood are great.

Copper is involved in the pigmentation of hair. To make your natural colour shine through, then try eating shellfish, liver, fresh vegetables, nuts, seeds and meat.

Vitamin A gives you a healthy scalp, because it improves your skin. This will reduce dandruff. Eat lots of vegetables, especially carrots.

Vitamin B and C are help create good circulation, hair growth and hair colour. If you are stocked up on these then your hair will be strong and supple meaning less chance of breakage.
