How To Get Rid Of A Headache Naturally

Headaches are usually caused by either dehydration, eye strain or stress. If you really dont want to take medicine to get rid of it, then here are some natural remedies which may help.

Firstly drink lots of water as this will help if you are dehydrated. Also, what I find works 80% of the time for me, is to eat a cold red apple that has been in the fridge... sounds simple, but it really get rid of my headache, and gets sugar levels up too.

Another idea you could try, particulary for pain thought to be caused by eye strain, is to gently massage your forehand, or area between your eyebrows, with your fingers. Use circular motions as this can sometimes help relieve any tension. Relax your facial muscles especially between your eyebrows. You may also like to try placing a cold wet flannel or kitchen roll to your forehead to help cool it down which should hopefully reduce the pain.

Make sure you take a break from computers and televisions. Having a rest or a sleep will usually also help, but sleeping for long periods of time or in a hot environment can sometimes make it worse.
