Take one section and start at the ends, wrapping it around your tongs. Curl your hair away from your face as this will show off your cheekbones. On the top, curl it from cheek bone level instead of from the root as this will look better. Pin the curls up straight after doing each one, while they are still warm. This will hold them up better. Once you have curled all of your hair, tip your head back and run your hands through it. Scratch it gently from the roots for natural backcombing. For additional definition, go over a few of the curls on top, and use a brushable hairspray to hold it but still lets it move naturally. Backcomb your roots at the crown using a large tooth comb as this will give your hair the perfect base for pinning it up. Good luck.
